A Quick Pick-me-up – Brigadeiro 🇧🇷

Ever since the 2022 World Cup, I’ve been obsessed with Brazil. Despite Brazil’s loss against Croatia, I wore my Brazilian jersey loud and proud for months following the game. And while that is partly because of Neymar, it is mostly because of how much I appreciate Brazilian culture. Every Brazilian I’ve ever met has always been so kind and has immediately made me feel closer to them. This summer, my infatuation with Brazil amplified when I met Leticia. We met at the Bocconi summer school in Milan, and I immediately loved everything about her. Her style, her sense of humor, and of course, her culture. So when she told me about her favorite foods, I had to make them.

How to make Leticia's Brigadeiro

Ingredients:

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp butter

Chocolate sprinkles

How to Make It:

1.) Melt the butter in a pan, then add the condensed milk and cocoa powder.

2.) Stir until it is all combined

3.) Cook on medium heat until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides—about 10-15 minutes.

4.) Let it cool for about 30 minutes. Once it’s at room temperature, grease your hands with butter and roll the mixture into bite-sized balls.

5.) Roll in sprinkles and enjoy!

If you’re craving something chocolatey, fun, and ridiculously good, Brigadeiro is your new best friend. Just beware, they are seriously addictive.

Bom apetite! 🇧🇷✨
